I truly am just a small-town girl from southern Ohio who hopes to leave a positive impact on others during this life and in the beauty industry. It was a blessing and a privilege to have such an amazing childhood, with parents that encouraged me to do what I love. My career has been such an important part of me and who I am. I began doing hair when I was 19 as an assistant at a commission salon. I worked there for two additional years behind the chair before going off on my own and starting my personal brand at Salon Lofts. During this time, I narrowed down the services I offered and worked hard to perfect my craft. As of January 2021, I am now a Co-Owner of a booth rent salon, my baby, Columbus Proper Hair Studio.

 

As far as my personal life, I’m married to a fine ass man who truly doubles as my best friend. We have a beautiful 2-year-old son that keeps us on our toes and has altered our weekend plans for the foreseeable future lol. I have three sisters who have each played a very influential role in my life. Family really is everything, and I feel lucky that we thoroughly enjoy spending time with ours as much as we do. I spent my early twenties working hard and playing harder. I had the time of my life and made some of the most special friendships. I often say, having my son brought me back down to earth. He strengthened my faith, showed me a love I’d never felt, and reminded me the importance of all the little things we often take for granted. We live in a fast-paced world, and rather than fearing it, I hope to teach my children to embrace it. To always treat others with kindness, and to be confident in whoever they aspire to be.
